On behalf of the QUT Muslim community, The Muslim Students’ Association of QUT invites staff, students and friends to a community dinner to celebrate the Ramadhan breaking of the fast and to learn more about the Islamic faith.

FREE TO ATTEND

Invite all your friends, Muslim and non-Muslim to this event!

We also invite our non-Muslim friends to try and experience fasting with us for a day from sunrise to sunset!

Ramadhan is the most prominent month of the Islamic calendar. It is a time when Muslims fast and abstain from several basic human needs for the sake of God. Iftar and Taraweeh Prayers take place at the Gardens Point and Kelvin Grove campuses every weekday throughout Ramadhan. The fast ends at sunset following the Maghrib prayers each day, with Ramadhan ending at the sighting of the moon on the 29th day if it can be seen. If not, 30 days of fasting will be completed.

Senior executive staff will represent QUT at the Ramadhan breaking of the fast.
